🔒 100% Local — No Servers

Tabby stores every session in chrome.storage.local on your device. There are no servers, no accounts, no telemetry, and no host permissions — Tabby cannot read or modify any web page.

Features

Save Windows

Capture the current window — or every open window — as a named session you can restore later.

Restore Anywhere

Bring a session back as new windows or merge it into your current one.

Fuzzy Tab Search

Type a few letters; jump to any open tab across any window. Enter to switch.

Closed-Window Archive

Accidentally closed a window? Tabby keeps a private archive so you can bring it back even after a restart.

Duplicate Finder

Spot tabs whose URL appears more than once and close the extras with one click.

Auto-Snapshot

Optional periodic snapshot of all your windows — a rolling rollback point.

Export & Import

Your sessions, your JSON file. Back up, move between machines, or share with yourself.

Keyboard Shortcuts

⌘⇧L (Mac) / Ctrl+Shift+T (Win/Linux) opens Tabby. ⌘⇧Y saves the current window.

Dark Mode

Follows your OS appearance — light by day, dark by night.

Why Tabby

Most session managers ask you to sign in and sync your tab history to their servers. We didn't want that, so we built Tabby. Every session lives in your browser's local storage — never sent, never sold, never used to train anything.

Tabby ships open: every line of JavaScript that runs in your browser is published, unobfuscated, in the public source repository.
